MD & PHD student
Education:
-
B.S., the University of Vermont- Biological Sciences ;
-
MD/PhD student beginning his 4th year with UConn Health;
Research interests:
Nathan is currently investigating how senescent cells drive age related morbidity with an emphasis on age related cognitive decline and dementia. He is aiming to develop new therapeutic targets and nutritional interventions that can preserve independence and quality of life with aging and chronic diseases.

-
MD/PhD student finishing up my first year in the PhD

Research Interest:
My research interests are pretty broad but I’m mainly interested in different types of single cell sequencing as well as other sequencing methods such as bulk RNA sequencing and ATAC-seq. I also have experience working with human induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs), and tissue engineering. I’m hoping to combine both my computational and wet lab skills for my thesis project.

Hobby:
-
I was on the swim team in college and still enjoy swimming now
-
I also love playing with my new Portuguese water dog puppy Polly!
